Request for Time Extension Form

Public bodies may use this online form to apply for permission to extend the time for responding to an access request (time extension requests) under section 10(2) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). This form requires that all fields are completed. If, for any reason, you do not have information for a particular field you may enter “N/A” to indicate this.

Time extension decisions will be made based on the information provided, therefore public bodies should ensure the information supplied on this form is complete and accurate. For assistance in completing your time extension request, consult Time Extension Guidelines for Public Bodies.
